children's movies - What are we saying????
Have you ever noticed that most of the Disney movies have single parent familes?
pochahantus - mom dead
snow white - no parents
cinderella - dad dies at the beginning
lion king - dad dies at the beginning
little mermaid - no mom
aladdin - aladdin - no parents, jasmine - no mom
Alice in Wonderland - no mom
beauty and the beast - no mom
finding nemo - mom dies at the beginning
Hunchback of notre dame - mom dies at the beginning, no dad
hercules - adopted parents, separated from real parents (disney version)
Toy story - no dad
sleeping beauty - parents not really involved (whisked away as infant)
Bambi - mom dies at the beginning, dad dies at the end.
Monster's inc - we never see Boo's parents
Lilo & Stitch - both parents dead

Mulan

Yeah, I have noticed that and agree with the acception of Monsters Inc. to me seeing the parents worried about having their little child missing would be a movie ruiner the thought of that makes the movie a little spoiled. But I have noticed that alot. I dont get whats up with that.
